Year 1 Class Visit to Audley End Miniature Railway
Dear Parents & Carers of Year 1 Children,
FRIDAY 19TH JUNE – YEAR 1 VISIT TO AUDLEY END MINIATURE RAILWAY
To link in with our class topics, we have arranged for Year 1 to visit Audley End Miniature Railway on Friday 19th June. During our visit the children will have the opportunity to ride in a train around the woodland area and visit the nature corner.
We will leave school in the morning shortly after registration and will should be back at Priors Wood for the end of the school day, traffic permitting. We will only contact parents on the day if we anticipate a considerable delay in which case we will send a message via Arbor.
Children should bring a home packed lunch with at least two drinks of water, but please no nuts, sweets or chocolate. Alternatively Hertfordshire Catering are able to provide a school packed lunch for trips, so if you would like to order a school packed lunch for your child please email admin@priorswood.herts.sch.uk by Wednesday 10th June at the latest to let us know if they would like the red (ham) or the green (cheese) option. Children should bring a small rucksack to be able to carry their lunch and water with them.
For the trip children should wear school uniform and bring a raincoat in case of showers. Children will be given a green Priors Wood sunhat to wear on the day so that they are easy for the staff to identify. Please make sure you apply sun cream to your child before they come to school as fingers crossed we will have some sunshine!
The voluntary cost, which includes a charge for admission, coach travel, and personal insurance is £25.90 per child. I would like to remind you that although payment is voluntary, the trip may not go ahead if not enough parents pay towards the cost. Please speak to the office in confidence if you would like to arrange a payment plan.
Please give consent on Arbor under trips for your child to take part by Wednesday 10th June at the very latest.
