Dear Parents & Carers of Year 2 Children,

 

Year 2 Class Visit to Knebwoth House

Wednesday 18th June 2025

 

To link with our class topic of dinosaurs in English, we have arranged for Year 2 to visit Knebworth House on Wednesday 18th June, travelling by coach.  The children will be taking part in the Monsters & Mazes (science based) educational programme at Knebworth.

 

We will leave school shortly after registration and return to school by the end of the school day, traffic permitting.  The children will need to wear their school uniform, bring a rain coat (with a hood if possible) in case of showers, or if the forecast is for sun please apply plenty of sun cream to your child before they come to school.  The children will be given a Priors Wood hat to wear during the day for ease of identification.

 

Please provide a home packed lunch with plenty of water, but please no nuts, sweets or chocolate.  Children should bring a small rucksack or drawstring bag rather than a large, heavy school bag or packed lunch box.  If you prefer you may order a school packed lunch for your child – if this is the case please email admin@priorswood.herts.sch.uk by 6th June at the latest to let us know if your child would like the red (meat) or the green (veggie) sandwich option.

 

The voluntary cost of this trip is £28.80 per child, which includes coach hire, admission & personal insurance.  In order to spread the cost this has been split into 2 instalments of £14.40.  Please give consent and make payment of at least the first instalment via Arbor by Wednesday 21st May.  Please ensure that the second instalment is paid by 13th June at the latest.  If you would like to discuss payment, or spread the cost further, please speak to the school office in confidence.
